Visa Resolve Online is hiring a leader to shape strategy, policies, and tooling that lift delivery maturity for the VROL platform. You will guide a high-performing engineering group building and modernising revenue-related enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on AI-driven engineering practices. This suits a senior engineering leader with deep technical and functional depth who enjoys mentoring teams and translating business problems into measurable machine learning outcomes.
What you'll do
Provide leadership, mentoring, guidance, and vision to engineering groups building tools and services for secure code and continuous artifact flow
Support direct reports' growth by setting clear expectations and goals, and by evaluating and managing KPIs and accountability
Adopt industry best practices and technology trends around information security to pursue continuous delivery

Work with cross-functional teams to find opportunities where AI can drive business solutions
Oversee design, development, and maintenance of machine learning models and solutions
Translate real-world business challenges into measurable machine learning metrics
Explain complex algorithmic decisions and model predictions to non-technical stakeholders
Keep current with emerging technologies and applications in AI and machine learning
Measure the effectiveness of AI initiatives and adjust strategies as needed
Champion AI across the engineering lifecycle, including AI-assisted coding, automated testing, code generation, and productivity workflows
Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement
Support and enhance Agile practices around code integration, systems thinking, and scaled delivery
Support multiple cross-functional agile teams with test environments, builds, deployments, and troubleshooting
Help teams troubleshoot issues around code, tools, and workflows
Act as the integration point of contact for internal and external infrastructure and support teams, translating technical change requests into executable steps
Track changes requested by multiple development and testing teams for parallel code deployments
Review, prioritise, and schedule change requests across integration, member test, and production environments

Requirements
10+ years relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with an advanced degree, or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years, or M.S. degree with 10+ years, designing, developing, and managing complex enterprise-class mission-critical global application systems
5+ years leading engineering teams responsible for enterprise-scale software delivery
Proven experience managing software delivery in an AI-enabled ecosystem, including AI-assisted engineering practices, productivity tools, and automation across the SDLC
Strong technical foundation in Java and modern backend engineering, with microservices, APIs, distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software delivery, including generative AI coding assistants such as Claude Code CLI, GitHub Copilot, and Cline, plus prompt engineering, AI-supported code review, test generation, documentation, and productivity workflows
