About the role

This contract role sits within the Child Development Unit of the Department of Paediatrics, where you will deliver psychometric assessments and intervention programmes for young patients. You will work under the guidance of a Senior Psychologist and also support research and psychoeducational programme development. It suits a Master's-level psychology graduate who enjoys clinical work with children and collaborative team settings.

Carry out psychometric assessments and interpret results for referred patients

Document assessment findings accurately and give suitable recommendations

Create, run and review intervention or group programmes for referred patients

Prepare teaching and training materials

Deliver in-service training to department staff when needed

Provide specialised teaching and supervision to psychology interns on clinical attachment

Help with operational tasks at team level

Take part in research projects as part of the research team where appropriate

Offer expertise for media queries routed through Corporate Communications

Requirements

Master of Psychology with specialisation in Educational/School Psychology or Clinical Psychology from an accredited university
Registered or eligible for registration with a recognised psychological professional body
Fresh Master's graduates with relevant work or internship experience before or during Master's training
Clinical training in conducting assessments and/or providing therapy to children
Team player motivated to deliver high standards of patient care
Able to work independently
