About the role

This role sits within the Ground Department at the Singapore headquarters and oversees airport operations for stations in Malaysia and Laos. You will be the main point of contact for all operational, training and procedural matters at those stations, working with appointed vendors, airport authorities and HQ teams. It suits someone with solid airport or ground handling experience who can lead vendors and handle disruptions calmly.

What you'll do

Manage daily operational issues at assigned stations and make sure aircraft depart on time, targeting at least 98% on-time performance.
Lead outsourced vendors and ensure company rules are followed, including efficient check-in, transfers and baggage handling.
Handle delays and flight disruptions according to SOP so passengers face minimal inconvenience, fewer complaints and more compliments.

Keep effective communication with head office departments such as Operations, Engineering, Crew and OCC during operational situations.

Analyse every delay to find the root cause and stop it happening again.

Follow up and investigate incidents or complaints when assigned.

Keep HQ updated on regulatory changes in a timely manner.

Carry out any other duties requested by Head Office.

Represent the company positively in airline and aerodrome matters, working with external parties such as airport and CIQ authorities, vendors and other airlines.

Execute and issue service level agreements for assigned stations.

Conduct regular self-audits of service vendors at station and formal audits of other overseas stations on procedures and training.

Identify root causes of non-compliance and set corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure ground safety rules and aircraft emergency plans and procedures are followed and practised at stations.

Train and guide local vendors to comply with SOPs and new systems or processes.

Verify invoices charged to the company accurately.

Good to know

Able to work weekends and public holidays.
Able to travel for work at short notice.

Requirements

Legally entitled to work in Singapore
At least a recognised diploma or degree
3–4 years' experience managing operations, ideally in airport, airline or ground handling
Fluent written, spoken and reading English plus another local language for regulator liaison
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Can multi-task independently in a fast-changing environment and manage multiple stakeholders
