About the role

This role sits with the sales and marketing team at Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, focused on growing hotel revenue and room night sales. You will help set and carry out sales and marketing strategies, build relationships with corporate and travel trade clients, and track results against targets. What you'll do

Help put together the annual revenue plan
Study current and potential markets and trends, and coordinate activities that grow business volume and rates
Bring in new and repeat business by keeping in touch with travel agencies and corporate clients locally and overseas
Maintain contact with planners, corporate accounts and incentive buyers through sales calls, phone calls and written communication
Help prepare the annual budget
Track, analyse and report on differences from the budget
Make group pricing decisions after consulting the revenue team and the Director or Assistant Director of Sales
Secure new corporate accounts
Work with the Assistant Director of Sales or Director of Sales and Marketing to keep departmental staff performance productive
Keep a full, up-to-date and guest-focused set of departmental standards and procedures, and oversee how they are applied
Make sure training needs for sales staff are identified and that training programmes are designed and delivered
Coach junior colleagues with constructive feedback to improve their performance
Communicate regularly with staff and keep good working relations
Oversee the selling and servicing of group business
Meet guests from major event producers and organisers staying at the hotel to check satisfaction
Build and keep mailing lists up to date
Manage key accounts
Keep an eye on what competitors are doing
Plan and carry out sales trips to major market areas
Produce monthly sales reports and forecasts
