About the role

This role sits within a large real estate group in Singapore, taking charge of a portfolio of legal entities and leading statutory and financial reporting work. It suits an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable with complex transactions, audits and stakeholder management in a fast-moving environment.

What you'll do

Act as the main person responsible for a portfolio of legal entities across the group
Lead statutory and financial reporting, keeping to accounting standards, regulatory rules and company policies
Review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and financial analyses for accuracy and integrity
Work with external auditors to complete annual statutory audits efficiently and on time

Support management reporting and financial information requests from joint venture partners, government bodies, regulators and other stakeholders

Give accounting guidance on new business initiatives, complex transactions and emerging accounting and regulatory developments

Support capital management work, including evaluating dividend distributions and capital requirements across the group

Drive continuous improvement through process optimisation, automation and stronger internal controls and governance

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy or a recognised equivalent professional qualification
At least 7 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, statutory compliance or audit
Big 4 audit experience and/or experience in a large corporate environment is an advantage
Strong technical accounting knowledge and able to analyse and resolve complex accounting issues
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and organisational skills
Self-motivated, proactive and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
