About the role

This role leads a team of Business Development Managers within an agency channel, working closely with financial consultants and agency leaders to grow sales production. You will act as the link between the agency and operational functions, reporting to the Head of Business Development. It suits an experienced distribution or business development professional who is comfortable managing stakeholders and driving performance.

What you'll do

Lead a team of Business Development Managers and take accountability for their KPIs and development
Partner with the Business Performance Team to develop cluster campaigns and new channels for customer acquisition, such as roadshows, digital lead generation, associations and networking events
Define and resolve complex issues in new situations, looking beyond existing solutions

Drive sales through identified key performance indicators and strategic objectives

Implement sales management strategies to improve the quality of the business

Support Financial Consultants and Agency Leaders in achieving production through seminars, campaigns, sales training, objections handling and sharing best practices from top producers

Conduct quarterly cluster updates and recognition, and organise strategic initiatives to drive production, service and compliance

Work closely with the designated underwriter and AML team on underwriting requirements, especially for HNW and affluent cases

Manage stakeholders by fostering clear communication internally and externally

Work with internal stakeholders to leverage digital and media channels to reach new customer segments

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Distribution Management or Business Development
Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proven leadership qualities and a drive for excellence
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and persuasion skills
CMFAS M5, M9, M9A and HI certifications preferred
