About the role
This role supports the Head of CFCR Advisory for Private Banking & Trust in Singapore, acting as a dedicated compliance advisory partner to the business. You will help the Private Banking and Trust teams meet regulatory expectations and internal standards, working within a global financial crime and conduct risk function. It suits an experienced compliance or legal professional who can advise, challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
What you'll do
Help shape and deliver the strategy and direction of the Singapore CFCR Private Banking and Trust team, aligned with the global CFCR function and the bank's growth goals.

Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance issues affecting Private Banking and Trust.
Build and maintain risk-based compliance frameworks for identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, mitigating and reporting compliance risks.
Apply the CFCR framework through independent risk control, specialist advice and constructive challenge proportionate to the business.
Support management of relationships with the bank's regulators.
Track and communicate evolving regulatory changes, practices and related risks, and take part in regulatory reform.
Manage compliance matters and work with other CFCR teams on regulatory issues that could significantly affect the Singapore business.
Promote and embed a strong compliance culture across Private Banking and Trust in Singapore.
Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and support the Head of CFCR Advisory in engaging key stakeholders.
Support and challenge the business to demonstrate appropriate conduct, meet regulatory and compliance requirements and work towards fair client outcomes.
Set up and maintain processes, including training, advice and support, so policies, procedures and standards on compliance risk are implemented and followed.
Keep management monitoring indicators and trackers so issues are logged, followed up, regularly assessed and reported.
Report key compliance risks and issues to relevant Group and Business risk and control committees and management groups.
Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
Take personal responsibility for embedding high ethical standards, including regulatory and business conduct, across the bank.
Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters collaboratively.
Embed the Group's brand and values in CFCR Advisory Private Banking & Trust and carry out other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies.

Time-off includes annual leave, parental/maternity leave of 20 weeks, sabbatical leave of up to 12 months and 3 days of volunteering leave, with minimum global standards for annual and public holidays combined to 30 days.
Requirements
Degree holder
10+ years as a Compliance or Legal professional in financial services or related professional services
Excellent knowledge of financial and banking products, laws and regulations
Strong knowledge of Singapore's regulatory environment
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards in Private Banking, Wealth Management and/or Trust
Fast learner, intellectual and self-motivated
