About the role
This role leads the service team at Tiffin Room, a restaurant within Raffles Hotel Singapore. You will supervise a station or section, support the outlet management team, and make sure guests enjoy a smooth and personalised dining experience. It suits someone with restaurant service experience who is comfortable guiding colleagues and interacting with guests.
What you'll do
Oversee the set-up and running of a station or section in the restaurant
Supervise and take part in efficient, profitable daily operations in assigned areas
Support the Outlet Manager and Assistant Outlet Manager in helping colleagues meet high service and product standards
Take orders and promote the restaurant's food and beverage offerings

Deliver service according to established hotel standard operating procedures
Assist colleagues and guests in a professional manner
Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus, including liquors and cocktails
Suggest menu options, give advice and take orders
Offer drinks before, during and after meal service
Remember guest preferences to extend personalised service
Enter food and beverage orders accurately into the Point of Sales system
Double-check order lists before sending tickets to the kitchen
Check guest satisfaction at each table during each course
Use guest names appropriately and share them with colleagues and managers
Serve food in a timely and efficient manner
Arrange tables to established standards
Set up and maintain assigned side stations, restocking before and after each shift
Ensure silver and glassware is polished, wiped and spotless
Keep side stations clean at all times
Keep chairs and banquettes clean and free of debris
Mark tables according to food and beverage orders for each course
Confirm all products served are accounted for on the final bill before presenting it
Clear and tidy tables between courses
Collect the check before guests leave and give a warm farewell
Deliver all checks and reports to the appropriate place at the end of the shift
Complete opening and closing duties
Adjust service to suit guest requests and personalise interactions

Meet NEA rules and regulations
Engage actively in upselling and add value
Relay guest complaints to the manager
Ensure efficient work in dish wash, pantry and service preparation
Maintain cleanliness and work safety in food preparation and service areas
Carry out ad hoc duties such as sending operating equipment for weekly cleaning or burnishing, exchanging soiled linen, and collecting daily food and beverage requisitions
Promote sales through direct guest contact
Gather guest feedback during operations to ensure satisfaction
Handle minor complaints and report them to managers for follow-up
Build strong relationships with loca
Requirements
Certificate or diploma in hospitality or a related field
At least 2 years' experience in an international-class restaurant
At least 1 year in a similar capacity is an advantage
Additional food and beverage improvement programmes are an advantage
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Interpersonal skills and communicates openly with integrity
