About the role

This role owns the global efficiency and continuous improvement agenda for ALAM, working across sites in the US and APAC. It reports to the Senior Director of Industrial Management and partners with country GMs, site leaders, supply chain, procurement, finance, product management and R&D. It suits an experienced operational excellence practitioner who can move between strategy and shop-floor execution.

What you'll do

Develop and own the global continuous improvement roadmap, linking operational improvements to long-term business goals
Standardise continuous improvement tools and methods across regions for a consistent company-wide approach
Identify and prioritise high-impact projects that cut costs, shorten lead times and raise quality

Act as a change agent, influencing senior leadership and local management to adopt continuous improvement principles

Build and lead a global community of practice for sharing best practices and lessons learned between regions

Design and deliver training programmes and workshops to build continuous improvement capability at all levels

Lead complex cross-functional projects tied to critical business goals

Support project owners whose projects are at risk of missing targets

Mentor country continuous improvement leads and project owners through project execution

Define and monitor global KPIs to measure the impact of efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives

Own the global maturity roadmap, running regular audits or maturity assessments across sites

Track progress of all efficiency projects and report regularly to the Executive Committee

Reports to the Senior Director, Industrial Management
Covers all ALAM sites in the US and APAC
International travel is required
If not already certified, the candidate will pursue and obtain Six Sigma Black Belt certification as part of professional development

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or a related technical field
7+ years of progressive experience in operational excellence, lean manufacturing, process engineering or project management in a global multi-site environment
Proven track record of delivering measurable financial results such as millions in OPEX savings
Demonstrated change management experience moving an organisation from traditional mindsets to lean thinking
Experience working across different cultures and time zones, adapting communication styles
Statistical Process Control and Statistical Quality Control experience
