About the role

You will support the Concierge and Bell operations at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, helping guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout their stay. This role suits someone who enjoys being on their feet, interacting with people from all over the world, and keeping the front-of-house area running smoothly. You will work closely with the Front Desk and At-Your-Service teams.

Open car doors for guests and patrons when the Doorman is not available
Keep the Marriott and Singapore flags clean and in good condition, reporting any issues to the Bell Captain or Front Office Managers
Handle daily Concierge and Bell duties, including sharing information about local attractions, making restaurant and attraction reservations, explaining hotel services and facilities, and arranging ground transportation
Escort guests arriving and departing in a pleasant and respectful way
Handle guests' personal items with great care
Deliver packages and luggage for internal and external guests
Manage short-term and long-term luggage storage
Keep traffic flowing smoothly at the hotel forecourt when the Doorman is not available
Use the Bellman Movement Log to record all completed guest requests for the day
Greet arriving guests and guide them to the Front Desk
Help departing guests with transport arrangements or luggage storage
Offer further assistance to all guests
Coordinate with Front Desk and At-Your-Service teams for luggage delivery, room changes, and ad-hoc tasks
Attend daily briefing and 15-minute training
Perform doorman duties as assigned by the Bell Captain or Front Office Managers
Ensure the function sheet on the notice board is updated when Bell Captains are absent
Keep the Concierge Counter, Bell Stand, and hotel lobby clean and tidy
Deliver messages, mails, and parcels to guest rooms and administration offices
Handle daily equipment with care and polish all trolleys nightly; inform the Bell Captain when operational stocks run low
Understand the hotel's safety features and procedures
Maintain close and effective communication with other departments
Follow the hotel's corporate image, grooming standards, standard operating procedures, departmental policies, and corporate policies
Handle cash and bank transactions, process all payment methods according to accounting procedures, follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g., blind drops), count the bank at the end of shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank
Obtain the assigned bank, ensure accuracy of contracted monies, get change for expected business levels, and keep the bank secure at all times
Transport the bank to and from the assigned workstation following security procedures
Set up and organize the cashier workstation with designated supplies, forms, and resource materials, and keep it clean at all times
Follow established procedures and compliance
