About the role
Lead the bar team at JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach, a full-service hotel bar operation. You will run the bar day to day, guide and coach the team, and keep service standards high for every guest. This role suits an experienced bartender who is ready to take on supervisory duties and lead by example.
What you'll do
Answer guest questions about the origin, vintage and style of wines and cocktails

Check the quality and quantity of all stock and supplies
Requisition supplies and restock liquor bottle for bottle
Announce last call at the designated closing time
Prepare drink orders to specified recipes using measuring systems
Issue, open and serve wine and champagne bottles
Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts and keep the bank secure
Obtain change for expected business levels and keep the bank secure at all times
Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs promptly
Help management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, disciplining, motivating and coaching employees
Act as a role model and first point of contact for the fair treatment and open door policy process
Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete safety training and certifications
Keep uniform and personal appearance clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets
Welcome and acknowledge guests to company standards, anticipate and address their needs, assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests genuinely
Speak with others using clear and professional language
Build and maintain positive working relationships, support the team to reach common goals and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns
Ensure quality expectations and standards are met, and identify, recommend, develop and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings
Read and visually verify information in various formats, and visually inspect tools, equipment or machines for defects
Stand, sit or walk for extended periods or an entire shift
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
Grasp, turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces, and up and down stairs or service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
