About the role

This role leads media strategy and execution for the Korea market, acting as the media subject matter expert and strategic advisor. You will be the main media partner to Marketing stakeholders and the key contact for agency and platform partners, developing integrated media strategies and overseeing campaign planning and activation. It suits an experienced media professional who can drive performance optimisation and align work to business goals and global media frameworks.

Partner with Marketing stakeholders to translate campaign goals into audience, channel, investment and measurement strategies.
Oversee media planning, activation, optimisation and performance management across digital and offline channels.

Serve as the primary point of contact for agency partners, ensuring strategic alignment, delivery excellence and accountability.

Build and manage strategic relationships with key media platform partners including Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Naver and Kakao.

Identify opportunities to leverage data, audience intelligence, automation and emerging capabilities to improve media effectiveness.

Drive evaluation and adoption of innovative media approaches, technologies and best practices.

Monitor campaign and investment performance, translating insights and analytics into actionable recommendations.

Ensure compliance with global media governance standards, measurement frameworks, procurement guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate across local, regional and global teams to drive business outcomes and support transformation initiatives.

Act as a functional manager within area of expertise, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.

Provide mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees.

Requirements

Four-year or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Advertising, Journalism or related discipline, or commensurate work experience
Typically 8-12+ years of experience in media strategy, media planning, media activation, digital marketing, agency management or related marketing disciplines
Experience working within the Korean media ecosystem, either agency-side, platform-side or in-house marketing environments
Experience managing integrated media campaigns across search, social, programmatic, video, commerce and emerging media channels
Fluency in Korean and English with the ability to engage local and regional stakeholders
Deep understanding of the Korean media landscape, consumer behaviour and key industry platforms including Naver and Kakao
