About the role

Join Dyson's Research, Design and Development function in Singapore within the Motor Drives and Advanced Control team, working on embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors and advanced control systems. You'll collaborate with engineers, scientists and technical experts across disciplines, and the role suits someone comfortable with both high-level design and hands-on implementation, testing and debugging. The team works from early development through to production.

What you'll do

Develop and maintain real-time embedded software for Dyson Digital Motors and other advanced control systems
Develop software for test systems supporting automated production testing, including motor production line tune and test and power electronics hardware test

Document software requirements, design and implementation

Handle embedded software aspects of failure analysis, including root cause analysis of motor or drive and control system failures at product and motor level

Facilitate meetings such as stand-ups, planning and retrospectives

Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and manage product backlog by prioritisation

Requirements

Degree in engineering or a numerate discipline, or equivalent industry experience
At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant industry
Experience in bare-metal microcontroller software development
Strong background in real-time embedded C and knowledge of MCU peripherals
Fluent in the C programming language
Software configuration management experience, including source control and continuous integration
