About the role

This role sits within the Group Tax team of a bank's Group Finance function, focusing on cross-border tax compliance and advisory work. The team supports the wider business with reporting, planning and finance processes, and this position centres on Transfer Pricing and US withholding tax matters. It suits someone with a few years of tax experience who wants to deepen their financial services expertise while learning from senior tax specialists.

What you'll do

Handle Transfer Pricing and US Qualified Intermediary compliance, working with colleagues across functions to produce documentation, run assurance testing and meet regulatory submission deadlines.
Provide transactional tax advisory support to business units under senior supervision, assessing complex tax implications tied to global TP and US QI rules.

Help embed TP and US QI rules into business processes, strengthen governance and manage operational tax risks proactively.

Support transfer pricing audit defence, dispute resolution and QI periodic reviews.

Reconcile related party transaction data and prepare Transfer Pricing documentation, including Master and Local Files, in line with Singapore and global rules.

Support US QI withholding tax compliance, guiding Business and Operations teams on US tax documentation, withholding and reporting.

Advise business units and group entities on TP and US QI matters for new or existing operations and transactions.

Update procedural manuals, compliance checklists and operating models so regulatory changes and business initiatives are embedded in workflows.

Run internal health checks and compliance reviews, tracking remediation of audit findings to keep the bank audit-ready.

Assist with queries from tax authorities during audits, and support dispute resolution and tax ruling applications.

Take on other ad-hoc projects as assigned.

The role is based at DBS Asia Central in Singapore - Central.
This is a full-time, regular position.
The bank is a certified Accredited Training Organisation for the Singapore Qualification Programme and an ACCA Approved Employer.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
Professional qualification such as SCTP, ISCA or ACA/ACCA is preferred but not mandatory
3 to 5 years of transfer pricing, withholding tax and/or international tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm
Relevant industry exposure is viewed favourably
Highly motivated, adaptable and a fast learner keen to deepen tax and banking knowledge
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for handling and organising financial data
