About the role

A technology sourcing role supporting vendor management and sourcing activities across software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT professional services. You will work with Technology, Procurement, Risk, Legal and business stakeholders on sourcing initiatives, vendor evaluations and commercial engagements. It suits someone with technology sourcing or procurement experience who wants broader exposure across technology domains and strategic sourcing.

What you'll do

Support sourcing activities across technology categories such as software, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity and IT services
Help develop and implement sourcing strategies and category initiatives
Conduct supplier research and market assessments to support sourcing recommendations
Support vendor rationalisation and optimisation through data analysis and market benchmarking
Maintain supplier information and contribute to vendor management activities
Work with Technology and business stakeholders to understand sourcing requirements and objectives
Support development of sourcing approaches, evaluation criteria and vendor assessment frameworks
Coordinate sourcing activities including information gathering, supplier engagement and evaluation exercises
Help assess vendor solutions on business, technical, commercial and risk considerations
Support sourcing events such as RFI, RFP, RFQ and supplier due diligence
Prepare sourcing documentation, evaluation materials, business cases and recommendation papers
Participate in commercial discussions and contract reviews with suppliers
Work with Procurement, Legal and Risk teams to keep sourcing activities progressing
Track sourcing milestones and follow up on action items across stakeholders
Build working relationships with Technology, Procurement, Finance, Risk and business teams
Provide support and guidance on sourcing processes and market insights
Facilitate coordination between stakeholders for timely completion of sourcing activities
Contribute to discussions and recommendations through structured analysis and data-driven insights
Ensure sourcing activities comply with internal procurement, governance and third-party risk requirements
Support vendor onboarding, due diligence and approval processes
Prepare and maintain sourcing documentation for audit, compliance and regulatory purposes
Help monitor sourcing risks and escalate issues where needed
Monitor technology market trends, emerging suppliers and industry developments
Conduct benchmarking and spend analysis to support sourcing decisions
Support planning for contract renewals, sourcing opportunities and vendor engagements
Contribute insights on pricing, licensing models and supplier capabilities

Requirements

5–8 years of experience in technology sourcing, procurement, vendor management, consulting or a related discipline
Experience supporting sourcing initiatives involving technology products and services
Exposure to technology categories such as software, cloud services, infrastructure, cybersecurity or IT professional services
At least three years of sourcing in a financial institution environment in a tech category
Good understanding of sourcing and procurement processes
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
