About the role
You will join a railway infrastructure team responsible for keeping tracks, tunnels, viaducts and buildings safe through condition monitoring systems. The role involves interpreting monitoring data, setting alert thresholds and scouting new technologies to improve maintenance. It suits engineering graduates who enjoy data analysis and want to work in a rail environment.
What you'll do
Understand how condition monitoring systems work and interpret the data they collect
Perform in-depth trend analysis to generate maintenance insights and set alert thresholds
Produce timely condition monitoring reports with defect severity prioritisation for maintenance units
Work with the operations analysis team to integrate monitoring data into a central data warehouse
Scout for proven condition monitoring technologies that enhance safety or reduce maintenance effort
Good to know
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
Prior experience as a Maintenance Engineer is a bonus
Knowledge of railway track or civil structures is beneficial
Excel and Power BI skills are used for data analysis and visualisation
Comfortable with people management
Strong planning skills and high conscientiousness
