Event Management - Assistant Manager

What you'll do

• Help plan and execute meetings and special events
• Support the implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives
• Work to meet customer needs during meetings and events
• Assist in growing event revenues
• Handle issues and conflicts that arise during meetings or events
• Conduct daily walk-throughs of the banquet floor to drive client satisfaction and maintain quality standards
• Research and analyse competitors' products, pricing and services
• Review scheduled events and troubleshoot potential challenges or conflicts
• Assist in coordinating all groups that affect property operations
• Assist in overseeing cleaning and maintenance of meeting space and back-of-house areas
• Assist in overseeing furniture and equipment maintenance and keeping inventory to corporate guidelines
• Develop relationships with outside vendors and set prices and service agreements to enhance events and increase revenue opportunities
• Assist in creating the annual banquet budget
• Create an atmosphere in event areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations
• Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for meetings, conferences and conventions
