About the role

This role sits with the sales team at InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay, a hotel on Nanson Road. You will grow business and revenue by managing client relationships and supporting sales strategies. It suits someone with hotel sales or catering and event services experience who is comfortable working with corporate accounts and internal departments.

What you'll do

Build and strengthen ties with existing and new customers to secure future bookings, through daily sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows

Meet and exceed financial targets with guidance from the Director of Sales

Develop community relationships to grow the customer base and sales opportunities

Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Understand the market, including competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand

Support the service and relationship strategy to drive customer loyalty through excellent service at each customer touchpoint

Build key relationships with corporate accounts and increase share of those accounts

Identify new business opportunities to meet personal and location revenue goals

Interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels

Execute and support the company's customer service standards

Highlight guest satisfaction in departmental meetings and focus on continuous improvement

Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication, briefings and coordination with other departments

Develop and maintain good relationships with local officials, community groups and companies to promote new business and increase hotel sales

Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to travel for workshops, specialised training and/or certifications

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
3+ years hotel management experience
Catering and event services experience preferred
Fluent English
Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, employees and third parties
Understanding of microeconomics as it applies to hotel business
