What you'll do

• Target group and catering accounts, markets, or segments with proactive solicitation and account saturation.
• Partner with the group and catering counterpart to manage business opportunities effectively.
• Respond to incoming group and catering opportunities that fall outside set parameters.
• Handle all opportunities if the property does not participate in an Event Booking Center.
• Identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business to meet personal and property revenue goals.
• Focus on group and catering accounts with significant potential sales revenue.
• Develop effective group and catering sales plans and actions.
• Design, develop, and sell creative catered events.
• Maximise revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage.
• Understand the overall market, including competitors, economic trends, and supply and demand, and sell against them.
• Close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions and property needs.
• Use negotiating skills and creative selling to close business and negotiate contracts.
• Handle complex business with significant revenue potential and high customer expectations.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
• Develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base for group and catering sales.
• Support the brand's Service and Relationship Strategy to drive customer loyalty through service excellence.
• Provide excellent customer service to grow share of account.
• Execute the brand's Customer Service Standards and the property's Brand Standards.
• Participate in and practise daily service basics of the brand.
• Assist customers and ensure satisfaction before and during their programme or event.
• Understand customer needs and recommend features and services that meet or exceed expectations while building loyalty.
• Gain understanding of the property's primary target customer and service expectations to offer better business solutions.
• Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels such as Market Sales and Strategic Accounts to keep sales efforts coordinated.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Use sales resources and administrative or support staff.
• Utilise the intranet for resources and information.
• Conduct site inspections.
• Create contracts as required.
