About the role
This role sits within the Group HR Enablement team, which builds enterprise HR capabilities across process excellence, HR technology, reporting and analytics, engagement and governance, and operations. You will lead the solution architecture, design and optimisation of Workday HCM capabilities across the Group and its local business units, partnering with HR process owners, Workday functional leads and Group Technology stakeholders. It suits someone with deep Workday HCM expertise who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery leadership in a complex, multi-country environment.

Provide strategic leadership for implementing, configuring and optimising the Workday HCM solutions stack, aligned to business objectives and adoption of Workday innovations

Consolidate and shape demand from COEs, LBUs and HR stakeholders into a coherent multi-year HR technology roadmap portfolio
Oversee deployment of HR technology programmes and projects from concept through deployment, testing and stabilisation
Establish and enforce design principles, architecture standards and solution guardrails across Workday initiatives
Provide oversight on Workday solution conceptualisation to ensure scalability, standardisation and alignment with enterprise architecture
Align HR leadership, COEs, LBUs and Group Tech on priorities, timelines and delivery expectations, facilitating cross-functional collaboration
Act as subject matter expert across relevant Workday HCM modules, engaging in solution design at depth without being the primary configurator
Drive standardisation of delivery methodologies, tools and reporting, and embed lessons learned into future planning cycles
Advise the HRIS team on solution deliverables such as design specifications, process flows, mapping documents, test scenarios and change records
Support solution testing and enablement, including unit, system, integration and user acceptance testing, plus training and knowledge transfer
Stay current with Workday releases, product enhancements and industry best practices, recommending improvements to user experience, process efficiency and platform value
Build functional and architectural capability within the HR Technology team, mentoring members and promoting collaboration and continuous learning

Requirements
Deep expertise in the Workday HCM landscape
Strong solutioning capability across end-to-end HR processes
Credible experience leading HR technology and transformation initiatives in complex, multi-country environments
Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery leadership
