About the role
This role sits with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at NTU, supporting a lab that works on electrochemistry, materials and engineering as one integrated platform. You will drive independent research into next-generation electrochemical energy systems while working closely with partners across materials science, electrochemistry and mechanics. It suits a motivated researcher who enjoys both hands-on lab work and guiding students.
What you'll do
Carry out advanced research on solid-state batteries, high-energy batteries and materials synthesis
Develop materials for electronic devices such as sensors, semiconductors, switches and transistors
Design and run electrochemical, mechanical and advanced materials characterisation work
Work with internal and external academic and industrial partners on joint projects
Prepare manuscripts for high-impact journals and present findings at international conferences
Help with grant proposal writing and the development of new projects
Mentor and supervise PhD, Master's and undergraduate students in the laboratory

Requirements
Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role or hands-on technical experience in materials synthesis, electrochemical testing and advanced characterisation
Demonstrated record of high-quality research publications in high-impact journals
Good written and oral communication skills
Able to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
