Design, analyse and optimise tunnel lining systems for underground infrastructure projects. Carry out structural and geotechnical analysis, including numerical modelling and finite element analysis, to assess soil-structure interaction and lining performance. Select materials and specify reinforcement, waterproofing and joint details. Coordinate with geotechnical engineers, structural engineers and contractors, and support construction by reviewing drawings and resolving design issues. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes and standards, and conduct quality checks on deliverables.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field
At least 2 years of experience in tunnel design focused on tunnel lining systems
Experience with TBM segmental, NATM shotcrete and cut-and-cover linings
Proficiency in structural and geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, MIDAS GTS, Abaqus or SAP2000
Strong understanding of soil-structure interaction, rock mechanics and hydrogeological considerations
