About the role
This role owns relationships with the technology vendors behind an internally-built platform that is productised and sold as-a-Service. You will sit between vendors, enterprise architecture, presales, finance and legal, shaping both new service offerings and the commercial models that support them. It suits someone with a vendor management or technology procurement background who is comfortable with platform economics and cross-functional work.
What you'll do
Manage end-to-end relationships with technology vendors whose products underpin the platform
Work with the Enterprise Architect and vendors to co-develop and incubate new service offerings built on the existing managed services portfolio
Engage vendors as innovation partners to spot emerging capabilities such as AI-driven operations, SASE, network analytics and automated remediation

Assess technical feasibility, integration complexity and architectural fit of new vendor-enabled services with the Enterprise Architect
Support service blueprints, reference architectures and go-to-market collateral
Join vendor roadmap planning sessions to align product evolution with the managed services strategy
Design and maintain Unit of Measure (UOM) based cost structures that break vendor costs into service-consumable units
Translate vendor commercial schedules into internal cost-to-serve models and rate cards for pricing, cost allocation and P&L visibility
Reconcile projected versus actual costs using UOM consumption data and address over-provisioning, under-utilisation and inefficiencies
Work with Presales and Solutions Architecture to reflect vendor component costs in subscription tiers, consumption billing and bundled packages
Lead contract negotiations, renewals and amendments with Legal and Procurement, structuring terms for scalability, multi-tenancy, co-innovation and service levels
Own vendor spend tracking and budget forecasting with Finance, and pursue cost optimisation through consolidation, volume pricing, licence reclamation and UOM tier renegotiation
Run periodic vendor risk assessments covering cybersecurity posture, regulatory compliance, availability and business continuity
Conduct RFI/RFP/RFQ processes for component refresh or new capability onboarding and benchmark vendors against market alternatives
Produce executive dashboards and reports on vendor costs, new service pipeline, component performance, licence utilisation and risk posture

Cross-functional work with Enterprise Architecture, Presales, Solutions Architecture, Service Delivery and Finance
Exposure to multi-tenant or shared-infrastructure cost allocation models is advantageous
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field
At least 5–8 years in technology vendor management, platform product commercialisation or technology procurement
Experience in a managed services, telco or enterprise IT environment
Experience co-developing or incubating new technology service offerings with vendors and enterprise architects
Experience building UOM-based cost structures and pricing models for technology platform services
Able to translate vendor input costs into customer-facing pricing and margin models
