About the role
This role leads site-level maintenance and equipment reliability strategy at a highly automated manufacturing site in Singapore. You will work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, EHS, suppliers and technical teams to keep production lines running safely and efficiently. It suits an experienced maintenance or equipment engineer who is ready to take on technical leadership across multiple production areas.
What you'll do
Lead equipment reliability performance across multiple lines, improving OEE, MTBF, MTTR and yield through structured interventions.
Establish and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance frameworks, ensuring standardisation and effectiveness across the site.
Own and lead complex technical escalations, driving deep root cause analysis for major breakdowns, repeat failures and quality-impacting issues.
Develop and standardise maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides and engineering documentation to ensure consistency and audit readiness.
Build and strengthen maintenance team capability through coaching, technical guidance and structured training for engineers and technicians.
Lead equipment readiness and reliability input for new equipment introduction, commissioning and production ramp-up.
Manage and optimise maintenance costs, including spare parts strategy, vendor performance and service contracts.
Drive continuous improvement using Lean, TPM, Six Sigma and reliability engineering methodologies to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
Ensure compliance with EHS, regulatory and company standards, maintaining safe maintenance practices and audit-ready systems.

Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline
Experience in maintenance or equipment engineering in an advanced manufacturing environment, ideally across multiple production areas
Strong background in equipment reliability, downtime reduction, maintenance strategy and technical problem solving
Confident troubleshooting automated equipment including PLCs, robotics, servo systems, vision systems, and mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems
Able to apply structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, Fishbone analysis and failure analysis
Effective in stakeholder management, vendor engagement, coaching and communicating technical issues to different audiences
