About the role
This internship sits with HP's procurement and sourcing team in Singapore, supporting supplier assessments and sourcing decisions for engineering categories. It suits a current engineering or science student who enjoys analytical work and cross-functional collaboration. You will work alongside procurement, engineering, quality and supplier contacts.
What you'll do
Help analyse supplier capability assessments, technical evaluations, qualification work and sourcing recommendations
Work with internal procurement, engineering, quality and supplier teams on sourcing and quality issues
Research category and supplier landscapes, technology trends, raw-material cost drivers and supply risks, including should-cost models covering materials, manufacturing processes, tooling and logistics
Spot chances to cut costs, engineer value, use alternative materials and improve processes

Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Science
Able to commit to a 5 to 6-month full-time internship starting January 2027
Able to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
Able to apply engineering knowledge to materials issues, specifications, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, cost and quality evaluation
Able to turn technical, supplier, cost and quality data into clear sourcing recommendations
Familiar with quality tools such as 5 Whys, Pareto analysis, 8D, FMEA, DOE and SPC
