Assist the Lab Manager or Senior Chemist in daily laboratory operations for the maritime service section. Carry out testing, calibration, reagent preparation and standardisation of solutions. Perform result entry, QC checks, inventory maintenance, and basic equipment calibration and maintenance. Maintain testing records, receive and register samples, prepare sample bottles, and keep the lab, equipment and apparatus clean. Highlight abnormalities or discrepancies and act as Quality Officer for the section when needed. Update test methods and work instructions under supervision, and the role may require overtime and weekend work.
