About the role

Join the Probe team at Fab 10N/X for an internship focused on applying artificial intelligence to wafer test optimization. You will build an optimization engine and a web application that helps engineers visualise, compare and evaluate recommended wafer test movement configurations. This role suits a student pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechatronics engineering or a related field who can commit to a full-time internship of at least five months.

What you'll do

Apply optimization and machine learning techniques to generate and rank wafer test movement configurations
Analyse historical configuration data and benchmark model results against manually optimized configurations
Develop a web application for engineers to visualise, compare and select recommended configurations
Validate recommendations using representative production cases and quantify the improvements achieved
Work with real semiconductor manufacturing data and practical engineering constraints
Collaborate with cross-functional Automation, Equipment and Engineering teams

Good to know

Full-time internship period of at least 5 months
Based at Fab 10N/X, Singapore
High-performing interns may be considered for future internship or full-time opportunities, subject to business needs and role availability

Requirements

Strong analytical, problem-solving and software engineering skills
Experience with Python, Linux, Angular and Structured Query Language
Familiarity with machine learning, optimization libraries or AI-enabled workflows
Exposure to combinatorial optimization, coverage optimization, sequencing or path-planning problems is an advantage
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
Able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months
