Manage veterinary healthcare for a diverse collection of animals across different taxonomic groups. Lead safe and effective physical, chemical and behavioural restraint, diagnose medical conditions using various diagnostic modalities, and perform soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries. Supervise clinical activities of the hospitals, mentor residents and veterinarians, and maintain accreditation of veterinary training programmes. Organise preventive healthcare and disease surveillance, develop long-term health strategies, and ensure compliance with statutory, ethical, biosafety and animal welfare requirements. Represent the organisation in professional, academic and regulatory forums.
Requirements
Internationally recognised degree in Veterinary Medicine
Singapore AVS licensed veterinarian or eligible for license application
Five years in general zoo/wildlife practice
ACZM/ECZM board certified specialist in zoological medicine or board-eligible
Proficiencies in management, technical and scientific aspects of zoo animals and wildlife medicine
Class 3 driving license
