Technician resume tips for Singapore
List the equipment you can maintain
Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, switchboards, lifts, fire systems. Facilities employers want to know what you can handle on your own, so be specific.
Licences and safety courses up front
An EMA electrical licence, work at height, confined space and similar safety courses are often listed as requirements in Singapore. Put yours where they are easy to see, and keep them current.
Mention shifts and standby
Many buildings run 24 hours. If you can do rotating shifts, nights or standby, say so clearly.
Show one fix that stuck
A short example of a fault you traced and solved for good shows more skill than a list of duties.
Name the type of building
Malls, hospitals, data centres and condos each have different systems and pressures. Saying where you worked helps the employer picture you on their site.
Keep salary off
No current or expected salary on the resume. Give it only when asked.
Common mistakes
- Not listing licences or safety courses, or not saying if they are still valid.
- Writing "M&E maintenance" without naming any equipment.
- No mention of shift or standby availability.
