Marketing executive resume tips for Singapore

  1. Lead with channels

Social, paid, SEO, email, events, trade marketing: these are very different jobs. Your headline should say which ones you know best.

  2. Give results you can stand behind

Growth, cost per lead, sign-ups, sales from a campaign. Use numbers you can explain in an interview, and say what you did to get them.

  3. Add a portfolio link

A simple page or PDF with a few campaigns, posts or pieces of writing helps a lot. Leave out anything confidential.

  4. Show you know the local calendar

Campaigns around 11.11, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and year-end are part of marketing in Singapore. Mentioning them shows hands-on experience.

  5. Match the ad’s tools

If the role asks for GA4, a CRM or a particular ads platform and you have used it, name it.

  6. Salary is for later

Leave current and expected salary out. Give it only where the form or employer asks.

Common mistakes

  • Calling yourself a "digital marketing expert" with nothing to show it.
  • Listing every social platform without saying what you achieved on any of them.
  • A designed resume so busy that the key facts are hard to read.
