Warehouse assistant resume tips for Singapore
Lead with your forklift certificate
In Singapore you need to complete a forklift operator course from an accredited training provider before you operate one at work. If you have it, put it in your headline as well as your certificates.
Be clear about shifts
Many warehouses run day, night or rotating shifts. Saying exactly what you can do, and when you can start, makes you easy to schedule.
Accuracy matters as much as speed
If you know your picking accuracy or the number of lines you handle a shift, include it. If you do not, describe the checks you do to get it right.
Mention the systems and equipment
RF scanners, a warehouse management system, pallet jacks, reach trucks, cold rooms. Each one is something the employer does not need to train you on.
Show you work safely
A clean safety record, toolbox talks or safety training all help. Warehouses take workplace safety seriously.
Salary stays off the resume
Leave your expected salary out, unless the application form asks for it.
Common mistakes
- Not mentioning a forklift certificate or driving licence you already have.
- No line about shifts or start date, so the employer has to call to find out.
- Writing only "general warehouse duties" with no detail.
