Operations executive resume tips for Singapore
Give a sense of scale
How many sites, runs, staff, orders or vendors did you handle? A number tells the employer straight away whether your experience fits their size.
Show one or two problems you fixed
Operations roles are hired on judgement. A bullet that says what was going wrong, what you changed and what happened next says more than a list of duties.
Name your systems
SAP, a warehouse or transport system, booking tools, or just strong Excel. Singapore job ads for operations often list these, and matching them helps your resume get read.
Be clear about hours if the role needs it
Some operations roles cover early mornings, weekends or on-call. If you can do this, a short line saying so helps.
Keep the industry words of the ad
If the ad says "fleet", "inbound" or "facility management", use the same words where they truthfully describe your work.
Leave salary for later
Your resume does not need your current or expected salary. Fill it in only where the application form asks.
Common mistakes
- Writing "handled day-to-day operations" with no detail of what that meant.
- Leaving out the industry, so the employer cannot tell if you ran a warehouse or an office.
- Long paragraphs instead of short bullets that are easy to scan.
