About the role

A senior frontend engineering role with a bank's financial platforms team, hired on a 12-month contract through an external payroll agency. You will shape frontend architecture for mission-critical systems and help build a new channel that brings investment capabilities to external clients via the e-banking platform. Suits an experienced React engineer who enjoys enterprise-scale, regulated environments and early-stage architectural work.

What you'll do

Own complex frontend solutions with attention to scalability, performance, security and maintainability
Work with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
Write production-grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
Handle advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimisation and integration with distributed backend systems
Refactor and modernise existing codebases where needed
Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis in development and production
Contribute within an agile, fast-paced and collaborative team

12-month contract role, employed through an external agency payroll provider
Based in Singapore, full time

Requirements

Extensive hands-on JavaScript and TypeScript experience, focused on React at enterprise scale
Deep knowledge of modern frontend ecosystems, tools and frameworks including React, Node.js and build tooling
Proven experience with design systems and large shared component libraries
Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerisation such as Docker and Kubernetes
